Liberty Sphere talks about those that so fervently support someone who is duping them...
Here's the link to the article
Early in this year's Presidential campaign the candidate stated that the D.C. gun ban was appropriate and passed the Constitutional test.
He was wrong, according to the Court.
But he hopes his supporters have forgotten that. Most of them have, or least they are engaging in denial in the midst of their starry-eyed gaze into the face of their beloved Obamessiah.
With foreign oil rising to record prices on the open market, the only thing that will help bring down the price of gasoline is for Americans to develop and use our own resources here at home.
Sure, new technologies that utilize solar, wind, hydrogen fuel cell, bio-diesel, and electric energy are important. But none of these will be ready to sustain the nation's energy needs for another 10 years at least.
The cold, hard fact is that we need the oil. And we have it.
But Barack opposes drilling for it. He opposes building new refineries. He opposes nuclear power, which is one of the cleanest sources of energy we have.
David Codrea of War on Guns has a post about an out of control FEMA guy who beat a citizen with a golf club because he was driving too slow. The problem is that he'll just keep on going...probably without even some sort of discipline.
Here's the link
Mr. Obama said after the court ruling that he, too, believes individuals have constitutional gun rights. But he also expressed sympathy for "crime-ravaged communities," arguing that lawmakers can still crack down on gun shows and improve background checks "so that guns do not fall into the hands of terrorists or criminals."
These seems to be what the anti-gunners are saying now... It's amazing (well, really it's not) that one, they change their minds so easily and two, that people still believe anything they say.
I wonder, then, why they still want to ban guns outright, thus making it impossible for the good guys to protect themselves from the bad guys. Remember...bad guys are the ones that don't follow the laws...including gun bans.

So, I got the garage organized and ready for a reloading bench. I setup everything up and loaded my first four rounds ever. Well, I deprimed five cases but only loaded four. That's because I put a primer in upside down and wasn't sure if I should try to deprime it. I wasn't sure if that would compress the primer enough to ignite it. So, it went in the trash can.
Since I didn't get .45 dies in my newly acquired press setup, I loaded four .38 spl wadcutters. here they are....
3.2 grn sure doesn't seem like much powder....
Why is the lead pouring over the edge of the case on the round farthest to the left?
Here's the workbench:

The gods of reloading hath smiled upon me. Today I put "Reloading" into craigs list just to see if there was anything around here at a good price... I found, Reloading Equipment $100. I figured if what the guy had was worth it I could spare $100 to get started reloading.
I called him up and asked him what he had... "RCBS Ruck Chucker and some dies..." I said, "hmm, is there anything else? I want to make sure it's worth $100." He said, "Actually, if you just come over I'll give you what I've got. For Free." I said, I'll be there in 30 minutes.
I drove out to the backwoods of Escondido by Lake Hodges, it was really pretty out there. Anyway...here's a picture of what he gave me. I offered him some cash which he turned down. Then he gave me two fishing poles and a loaded tackle box, too. Not bad for FREE! Thanks K in Escondido! You made my day...
This guy's posts are great. He goes through action movies and catalogs the weapons used and picks out inconsistencies in their use...i.e. racking out live shells, etc.
Chris Matthews hosted Wayne LaPierre VP of NRA and Paul Helmke VP of Brady Campaign in a post-Heller Decision interview on Hardball. Click here to watch the 15 minute segment
Ahab talks about it here CLICK HERE
I love the comments.
PS, Helmke looks like a mannequin and a douche bag.
This is a great article that I found while reading about Anti Gun New York Times editor Arthur Sulzberger...
The latest and most prominent efforts to expose the corruption of discretionary CCW laws are being undertaken in California. In addition to the usual requirements, California state law says that if applicants can prove that they are of "good moral character" and have a "good cause" they will receive a permit.
Perhaps being an anti-gun politician counts as good moral character in California. Two famous permit recipients are fanatically anti-gun U.S. Senator Diane Feinstein and gun-owner-hating California State Senator Don Perata.

Apparently people like Philly Mayor Nutter has really been a pro gunner freedom advocate all along... He just didn't know it.
Here's what he says about the Heller decision in this article:
"What the Supreme Court decision speaks to is an individual's right to keep a weapon in their home for lawful self-defense purposes. What we are seeing on the streets of Philadelphia, of course, is not self defense. It is senseless violence and slaughter. What we are dealing with is not lawful ownership, but rather illegal activity."
The BIG PROBLEM here is that this isn't what he's been saying... He's been saying that the NRA should apologize when people are killed by criminals. He's been wanting to ban competition sport rifles/handguns. Does that sound like he's not been dealing with lawful ownership? The lies, the pandering, the hypocrisy of these politicians makes me ill.
"As much as we are concerned about an individual's right to own their own weapon, we are more concerned with cracking down on activity that is actually illegal."
It seems, at the expense of the individual who decidedly has the right to own their own weapon/s.
"In limiting its opinion to the matter of self-defense, and in saying the right is not absolute, the United States Supreme Court decision today is an explicit statement of support for cities all across America who are creating reasonable measures to limit the ability of those who will do harm, who will maim, who will buy, carry weapons illegally."
"This is extraordinary and possibly an unprecedented statement by the U.S. Supreme Court."
And twisting things to seem like they favor his own agenda. Damn, how do these people stay in office?? Nutter and Helmke must sleep together. "Possibly unprecedented"?? Has he been sleeping under a rock or possible under Paul Helmke? Heyyyy THOSE AREN'T PILLOWS!!!

Obama and Mugabe, what do they have in common? More than you might think... I'll stick to one thing that they have in common....the disarming of a people. Mugabe disarmed his people....then began torturing them and then started killing them. Then, had maniacal nerve to ask, "How are they gonna fight us, with ball point pens? We have guns." about his dissidents.
Well, this is what Obama wants to do... disarm the people. Does that mean that HE will have us executed? I don't know...but he sure will set the stage for it to happen. Disarmed people are far easier to take advantage of than armed ones. So, other than being elitist egomaniacs they both want to disarm and control people.
No thanks....keep the change.
A related article here at Geeks with Guns
I think that the comment you made today (06-26-2008) about the Heller decision was ignorant and shows that you really have no place being in a place of power. Your comment was, "I believe the people of this great country will be less safe because of it".
The only people that will be less safe are the criminals who break into the houses of lawful gun owners. I have no idea why you'd want those miscreants to be safe over the safety of the good people of our great country.
I am ashamed to have you in office.
Thanks for your time,

The Court has released the opinion in District of Columbia v. Heller (07-290), on whether the District’s firearms regulations – which bar the possession of handguns and require shotguns and rifles to be kept disassembled or under trigger lock – violate the Second Amendment. The ruling below, which struck down the provisions in question, is affirmed.
Justice Scalia wrote the opinion. Justice Breyer dissented, joined by Justices Stevens, Souter and Ginsburg. We will provide a link to the decision as soon as it is available.

From Snowflakes in Hell
"There are many different stories around the blogosphere today highlighting this phenomena:
Law Abiding Gun Owner one
Law Abiding Gun Owner two
Law Abiding Gun Owner three
Law Abiding Gun Owner four and five
Just a few days ago, a friend of mine who lives in Philly, and is licensed to carry, got threatened by three youths with a Taser. Believing there was no way this was going to end well, he drew his pistol, muzzle pointed toward the sidewalk. The miscreants decided that Glock beat Taser and beat a hasty retreat. No one was hurt. My friend called 911, but the police never showed up to take a report. Keep in mind this city has had a rash of people getting beaten up in random acts of violence. Yet the Brady’s want to continually deny that there are real law abiding gun owners who have a legitimate concern about personal protection, and who aren’t dangerous or irresponsible with firearms."
Here's my first SCOBY to be borne from the ones that I bought. It's not thick enough all the way through yet, but it's got it's own full circle shape. So, here's my first born:

And here's the one I bought last night:

An annotation of a paragraph from this article: DC Gun Rights: Do You Want This Next to Your Bed? - By Harry Jaffe
Shanda Smith: “I buried two kids”
Shanda Smith offers a streetwise argument against loosening the District’s gun-control laws: “I have two teenage sons,” she says. “Why would I want a gun in the house?”
Maybe because the gang bangers that killed your gang banger kids might want to come kill you and you might want to protect your other two children
But what if legalized guns had to remain in people’s homes?
Uh, they do...unless you have a CCW and can carry it outside of your home.
“They’re going to wind up on the street,” she says. “If residents of Maryland and Virginia can’t hold onto their guns, and these weapons wind up on the streets of our city, what makes you think DC residents will do any better?
So, if people can't stop scumbags from stealing their stuff ,which a gun would actually help you do, is Ms. Shanda insinuating that it's the gun owners' fault? There would be less burglaries if the bad guys thought that you might be able to defend yourself. As it is, in DC, you are supposed to leave your house and let the burglar/robber take whatever they want. Does that make any sense??? That's a slap to the face of the residents of DC. Who would pass laws like that??? OH yah...people that have taxpayer sponsored armed security 24/7.
“If the Supreme Court lifts the gun ban, you are going to have a serious war,” she says. “Everybody will think they can defend themselves. There will be more shootings, more killings.”
Heaven-tabetsies, Carl.... People might actually THINK they can defend themselves. They can't go around defending themselves now can they. That'd be crazy. To think that people would actually want to keep living and possessing their possessions.
:36 until Heller - HOPEFULLY. I am actually a little nervous here. Not that it won't strike down the ban, but that it'll be a defining moment in history. Just like some of you remember where you were when Kennedy got shot (hopefully not on the grassy knoll or in the book depository) and I remember where I was when 9/11 happened, we'll all probably remember this day. So, too, will Paul Hemke of the Brady Campaign; he'll be puking in the toilet (I hope). He'll be crying into his embroidered sheets that he's a failure....actually he'll twist it somehow that he's the winner in it all...just like he always does.
You can think this all you want - most coppers do. But you can never ever speak it aloud:
* An 8-year-old boy was in the hospital Tuesday afternoon after being shot overnight in Humboldt Park in an attack that appears to be gang-related. But in an unexpected twist, Chicago's top cop blamed the boy's parents for the tragedy.
* "I hate to say it, but the parents are to blame for that 8-year-old being shot. They choose to engage in this activity," Weis said. "(The father is) engaging in gang activity and, more than likely, he's probably breaking some laws. ... As long as we have people who are willing to break the law and engage in criminal activities, these are some of the consequences that we face. We have an innocent boy whose dreams will be shattered, whose family's dreams are shattered and it's horrible and we've got to do something about it."
We know exactly who's to blame. So does the mayor. The media might or might not - they're all pretty stupid. But you aren't allowed to say it out loud. The reverends get all antsy, the media screams, and the mayor might lose votes. Mope-rah might write a whole column about it depending on the her med levels.
Here's the thing - nothing good ever comes of kids being on the street after 8 p.m. Never. And this kids was in a van in a crappy neighborhood at 10 p.m. You know why decent people with jobs and their children are almost never the victims of drive-by shootings after dark? Because they're all in bed!
Kids can't choose their parents and what happened to this 8 year old was a completely preventable occurrence. J-Fed called this one right - but what will be the fallout for speaking the truth?

I bottled a batch of Passion Fruit Kombucha tea tonight, and so needed to replenish that brew jar. I also bought two more Costco Pickle Kombucha Brew Jars - CPKBJs for short. So, I went to my local SCOBY pusher and picked up a new scoby.

Here's how I quickly transfer heat out of the wort in my mash tun:
And here're two batches ready to get stored in the pantry for a few days(eight):
Toronto Mayor David Miller closes two shooting ranges. He's as anti gun as they get. He thinks that us shooters are actually criminals in good guy clothing.
He believes that closing the doors on law abiding shooting sportsmen and women that he will somehow stop crime. That's like saying that if you close the doors on preschools that kids will stop shitting their pants... That's funny....because that's just what David Miller is doing...shitting his pants.
Canadian Institute for Legislative Action (CILA) Executive Director Tony Bernardo stated, “If war is what David Miller wants, war is what he’ll get. But he needs to remember, there is one of him and two million of us.” He added, “Mayor Miller has been slandering us for years, calling us “so-called law abiding gun owners” and accusing sport shooters of 'fuelling Toronto’s drug and gang problems.' “Miller is lying to the people of Toronto because he lacks the courage to deal with Toronto’s real crime problems.”
here's a link to the press release from the Canadian Shooting Sports Association.
“With a few exceptions... when youth get involved in politics in large numbers, it is not a good thing... Having been a young person [in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s] and having watched as my university (Columbia) had its classrooms taken over and teaching interrupted by fellow students; having watched the sexualization of society that followed the ‘Make Love Not War’ generation; having watched America become obsessed with youth rather than wisdom as a result of the ‘Never Trust Anyone Over 30’ mantra of the ‘60s young people; having seen the myriad speech codes that arose, ironically, out of the ‘Free Speech’ movement at Berkeley and elsewhere; having watched pacifist-like doctrines decimate America’s moral compass; having witnessed a selfish preoccupation with an ever increasing number of inherent ‘rights,’ with a commensurate devaluing of inherent moral obligations, I, among many others, am not enamored of the ‘60s and ‘70s youth movement... [and] am not encouraged by the ecstatic reaction of young people to Barack Obama. The track record of politically excited youth movements in modern Western history is not a good one. And I see no reason why this will prove to be the first major exception.” —Dennis Prager

The Ever popular Rules of Gunfighting...all services edition.....
from Last of the Few by Theo
USMC Rules For Gun Fighting
1. Bring a gun. Preferably, bring at least two guns. Bring all of your friends who have guns. Bring their friends who have guns.
2. If you can, make friends with those on the crew served weapons. Bring them as well. Borrow money from them, it gives them an added incentive to protect you.
3. Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Ammo is cheap. Life is expensive.
4. Only hits count. Close doesn't count. The only thing worse than a miss is a slow miss.
5. If your shooting stance is good, you're probably not moving fast enough nor using cover correctly.
6. Move away from your attacker. Distance is your friend. (Lateral and diagonal movement are preferred.)
7. If you can choose what to bring to a gunfight, bring a long gun and a friend with a long gun.
8. In ten years nobody will remember the details of caliber, stance, or tactics. They will only remember who lived and who didn't.
9. If you are not shooting, you should be communicating (calling for arty or air support), reloading, and running.
10. Accuracy is relative: most combat shooting is more dependent on "pucker factor" than the inherent accuracy of the gun.
11. Use a gun that works EVERY TIME. "All skill is in vain when an Angel pisses in the flintlock of your musket."
12. Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.
13. In combat, there are no rules, always cheat; always win. The only unfair fight is the one you lose.
14. Have a plan.
15. Have a back-up plan, because the first one won't work.
16. Have a back-up, back-up plan in case CentCom or SecDef finds the first two plans "unacceptable".
17. Use cover or concealment as much as possible. The only visible target should be in your gun sights.
18. Flank your adversary when possible. Protect your flank.
19. Don't drop your guard.
20. Always tactical load and threat scan 360 degrees.
21. Watch their hands. Hands kill. (In God we trust. Everyone else, keep your hands where I can see them).
22. Decide to be aggressive ENOUGH, quickly ENOUGH.
23. The faster you finish the fight, the less shot you will get.
24. Be polite. Be professional. But have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
25. Be courteous to everyone, friendly to no one.
26. Your number one Option for Personal Security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.
27. Do not attend a gunfight with a handgun, the caliber of which does not start with a "4."
Army Rules for Gun Fighting
1. See USMC Rules to gun Fighting.
2. Add 60 to 90 days.
3. Hope the Marines already destroyed all meaningful resistance.
Navy Rules for Gun Fighting
1. Adopt an aggressive offshore posture.
2. Send in the Marines.
3. Drink Coffee and eat donuts.
Air Force Rules for Gun Fighting
1. Kiss the wife goodbye.
2. Drive to the base in your sports car.
3. Fly to target area, drop bombs, (try not to hit the Canuks) fly back to your home base.
4. BBQ some burgers and drink beer in your back yard, and talk shit about the Navy, Army and Marines.
This week IBD ran a piece detailing Obama's active solicitation of approval from the New Party. IBD credits Rick Moran of Right Wing Nuthouse with bringing the matter to light. The New Party is a collection of Marxist kooks. And when I say they're Marxists, I mean they use the word "Marxist" to describe themselves. You can be an Arab and be loyal to the US. But no far-left demagogue who buddies up to terrorists and communists should ever be elected to public office.
Marxism. There's "change" for you.

Again: No Thanks, Keep the Change.
Why don't people help others? Why does this piece of shit get to get away with this? All for an iPhone. We saw a baby get stomped to death last week in Trulock, CA but nobody could be bothered to help try to stop the madman from doing the stomping. Here again someone is being beaten but people just standby watching the show. The crazy thing here is that many counties forbid CCW holders from carrying on public transit. Where has our pride gone? Where is our sense of community? I can't imagine letting someone be beaten like that without trying to stop it somehow. Why is this happening? Americans are being beaten into submission...quite literally and also litigiously and legislatively.

I just found this clip at Snowflakes in Hell I love that he took his valuable floor time to make the dems look stupid. I mean...they do it themselves but their own people can't really see through their charades...so sometimes it takes someone from another party to put it into words those people can understand.

Ok...here they go again with the assault weapons ban shit. And guess what.....it's FOUR REPUBLICANS sponsoring this thing.
It's really time for real gunners, hunters, and shooters to go Libertarian. Deal with your hangups with drugs and abortion...let people be free to do with their body whatever they please.
We need to move against the big 2.
The “Reverend” Al Sharpton, professional race hustler, is under investigation by the Internal Revenue Service for owing nearly $1 million in federal taxes and $365,000 in New York City taxes. On top of that, Sharpton’s National Action Network owes $1.9 million in payroll taxes and penalties. Several companies that have been subjected to the Sharpton shakedown, including Anheuser-Busch, have received subpoenas for records of charitable donations to his Network. The beer maker gave between $100,000 and $500,000 to his charity last year. Predictably, Sharpton played the victim, saying the subpoenas were part of a “fishing expedition.” That’s what he gets for being such a large mouth, er, bass.
I bet he'll blame it on the racist IRS or some other lame ass thing...
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of
its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes,
but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter
cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda,
they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

I do not feel bad about not understanding the evildoer, I do not need to understand him. A person who feels the need to stomp out an innocent life only requires execution and disposal.
I agree. We know, just by his actions, that the man in this case was a worthless turd worthy only of ventilation. But, how could ANYBODY just standby and expect the police to get there and do something whilst WATCHING A BABY BE STOMPED TO DEATH IN THE STREET!!! Why is just standing there not an egregious felony in itself? What has become of red blooded Americans?? Where were they/we that night? How could someone not try to tackle him, gouge his eyes, kick his dick, stab, shoot, clobber, strangle, punch, kick, or otherwise pummel this sick twisted monster?
HOW CAN THOSE BYSTANDERS SLEEP AT NIGHT?? HE WAS KILLING A BABY AND YOU DID NOTHING.
Is this what happens after years of being hand held? After so many years of people getting sued for helping others? Is this how afraid people are of getting "in trouble" or arrested for touching someone else? So much that even when it comes down to someone killing a baby they still won't step in? I am sick by this.
The whole story and another man's breakdown of it are here: CLICK HERE
It's pretty easy to grab a picture of someone with a shotgun and put it on a website with a blurb about how the people in the picture are standing proud for Obama. Somehow...I doubt it. Barack Obama is LYING to his followers and they're eating it up. The comments are hilarious... Some of the people can't even form complete sentences. Most of them look forward to socialized medicine. None of them are able to thing logically, apparently.

I still don't get what people are seeing in this guy. Rather, I still don't see how they don't see through his horse shit.
Obama, what have you done?
BTW, if you want to comment here.......no problem. I won't delete your comments even if they oppose my views, like they do on Obama's site. Well, like they do on MOST liberal leaning sites in general.

There should be nothing more fearful to an American citizen than the slipping of freedom and democracy from its supreme position in our domestic and foreign politics to be replaced by a pseudo-religious cause.
Here's a great look at this question....
At this point in time, is there another country on the face of the earth that would possess the oil and gas reserves held by the United States and refuse to exploit them? Only technical incompetence, as in Mexico, would hold anyone back.
But not us. We won’t drill.

Lou seems to be kicking ass. He's very comfortable in the brace at this point. We've been removing it every three days or so to let it air out and let him relax a little. We only take it off over night so he can sleep brace-free. He is limping much less now when we take it off. When the brace is off Lou licks his leg like a crazy man. He must smell it and want to smell natural again or something.

Here's another case of zero personal responsibility or accountability. Obama is blaming the credit card companies for people getting in over their heads in debt. I am pretty sure that the credit card HOLDERS borrowed and spent the money....not the credit card companies.

“The problem on the Left is, now that Karl Marx has forsaken them, they have no philosophy. Thank goodness. Think what evil creeps liberals would be if their plans to enfeeble the individual, exhaust the economy, impede the rule of law, and cripple national defense were guided by a coherent ideology instead of smug ignorance. As for our side, conservatism is a gut reaction for most of us, and a done deal for the rest. The moral philosophy of American politics can be explained briefly and clearly, and, the Constitution being written, it has been. Where is there a philosopher in Washington?” —P.J. O’Rourke
"Free in Idaho!" has done a good post on the parity of issues between Mccain and Obama. If you read my site often, you know that I absolutely abhor Obama. I almost absolutely abhor Mccain, too. FIH talks about how we really can't change America but we can change our neighborhood...our city, our county, our state.
Anyway, here's his post
Guns and ammo are being legislated to death. And I believe this is by design of the liberal officials of government.
The California Assembly voted to restrict lawful commerce in the state by outlawing the Internet sales of handgun ammunition (not excluding .22-caliber rimfire ammo). Assembly Bill 2062 states that transactions of more than 50 rounds a month will require a permit, which may be granted by the Department of Justice after a $35 application fee and background check, and up to a 30-day wait.
I shoot 50-100 rounds every Thursday at the range. So, now I have to get registered and background checked and pay a tax for more than 50 rounds a month???

Please contact your state Senator and urge them to oppose this bill.

SayUncle does a pretty good job and putting on paper the stuff I've been trying to say. I can't actually get much of it out because I'm so floored that people even believe one ounce of this guy's horse shit that I loose all motor function when trying to speak about it...
Here's a link to SayUncle's piece...
Doesn't it strike anyone as not ok that people are likening Obama to Che Guevera? Have Mccain or Barr or Paul been likened to any communist revolutionaries? Does the phrase, "Distribution of wealth" mean anything to anyone?
Here's a link to another story about it
Here's another issue that MUST be addressed - DRUGS and the WAR ON DRUGS
Here's an excerpt:
5) If prohibition and incarceration are the answers to our drug problem, why don’t we use the same approach to fight prescription drug abuse? Medical necessity? Next time you pop a Viagra, tell yourself it’s more medically necessary than an emancipated chemo patient smoking a joint. Isn’t Viagra the definition of a recreational drug?
To dispel the notion that I am an angry person... Someone left a message in my last post saying that I am an angry person. I am by no means an angry person. In fact, I am a very happy person. But I am angry about a few things. I am angry that the people that we have elected to govern our great nation have seemed to take matters into their own hands. It seems that they've forgotten that the government is "of the people by the people for the people" and not of the elite corporate types by the cronyism and lobbyists, for the...well, I'm not sure who they're doing it for...themselves I guess, because they're not doing much for us.
For a long time I was politically apathetic, I didn't really care what was going on. I'm not really sure why. Maybe because everything seemed fine. But, readers of the interwebs, everything is not fine. Our rights/liberties are being shirked and shunned at alarming rates by people who we've elected and appointed into office. There is a large group of people (liberals) who would abolish/repeal/ignore/whatever the 2nd amendment out of hand. They just don't think that law abiding citizens should be able to defend themselves against the criminals, who happen to be largely on their side, politically. I mean, why wouldn't they be? The liberals are giving them pardons, taking away our right to self defense making it easier for them to commit crimes against us, generally making it easier to commit crimes and get away with nothing more than a slap on the wrist and much much more....for one low price of a vote. The liberals bow to the "hip hop culture" which promotes violence, murder, rape, misogynistic behavior, etc. They don't seem to place much emphasis on personal responsibility and accountability. They believe that it's a collective problem and that it's more my fault (the victim) and the gun's fault (the tool) than the fault of the scumbag (or they'd say Gentleman) pulling the trigger.
They've got a guy, Barack Obama, that's campaigning on feelings of "Hope and Change" but with little else (if anything) to back him up. People are fawning over this guy as if he's some sort of Messiah or metaphysical being that is here to "help us evolve". What has this guy EVER done? Have his followers ever asked that question or do they just see this handsome black dude that speaks better than anyone else running (or our incumbent president)? He's saying hope change hope change blah blah blah....where's the substance? What has he ever done? What bills has he ever gotten passed? I know that he was involved in some sort of scam real estate deal with Tony Reszko that got him a pretty sweet deal. So, that's cool....for him. And he's got a wife that boasts of never having been proud of America until her husband ran for office....WTF is that about?
That the government can be bought has me angry. That habeas corpus (4th amendment) is all but gone has me angry. That DC vs Heller will say that the 2nd amendment is an individual right has me happy.
As for hope and change....I have plenty of both. I hope that we change our government back to the way it should be, where it is of the people by the people and for the people for the pursuit of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Neither Obama nor Mccain are what we need. People neglected to see that Ron Paul's views could help us get back to where we don't hate our government. They're too big (government) and we're to small (the people)even though we have population on them. They've divided us. At this rate....we're doomed.
Hope and change? If he wins...I don't think his supporters will really be happy, I don't think anyone will be happy about the things that happen.
Time will tell.

Like a kid whose lunch money has been beaten out of him, Joe Salzone seems to be offering up his milk and cookies.
This guy has a show on Sirius Radio Ch. 110. I am forced to listen to it on the way home from the office because for whatever reason they stopped playing Ron Silver's repeat in that slot.
This guy, in all honesty, is an English Teacher's wet dream. His voice is pre pubescent but his vocabulary is Jeffersonian. But....don't take the nod to Jefferson as though Joe follows Thom's ideas. On his website http://www.joesalzone.com is a banner, that banner reads, "I support Ron Paul, but I'm voting for Barack Obama." What on this grizzly green earth does that mean? Please see my comments to him at
Joe Salzone: The end hath come
These comments came after I wrote this on his Channel 110 forum page here

“Now look, the, the, ah, ah, I mean the, uh, first of all, uh I, I, I am not vetting my VP search committee for their mortgages, so you’re going have to d-direct... Well, nah I mean it becomes sort of a... um... I mean this is a game that can be played. Everybody... you know, who is tangentially related to our campaign, I think, is going to have a whole host of relationships. I would have to hire the vetter to, uh, vet the vetter.” —Barack Obama
Last night was Man vs. Man at Oceanside Practical Pistol Club. This was my first time shooting this style of match. There are two identical yet reversed (both people start at the range walls and work in)stages. Two people shoot against each other (not AT each other)in a race for points. The total points per stage is 50 + 5 bonus for finishing first.
I didn't fare so well... I will probably end up getting second to last or so. Either way, it was a learning experience. Hopefully I can progress and get a little better every time. We shoot this one once a month.
AND I had zero malfunctions. So, taking down the firing pin assembly and blowing ALL of the oil out of EVERY crevice and only lightly oiling a few key contact points seemed to be the key.

I finished drinking my first batch yesterday. It was GOOD. It was raspberry tea with raw cane sugar. Yum. Now...I am wanting some pretty bad...and none is ready. I probably should have saved some and not drunk it all so quickly. Here's the current brew batch in my "Kombucha den"...the pantry in the garage. The SCOBYs seem to be growing and the KT is smelling nice. A few more days....
UPDATE: I just popped open one of my batches of KT. It's about 4 days early. But, I was craving. It's TASTY...still kinda sweet and has a really nice Passion Fruit flavor. I just hope I didn't let any spores in. There was a baby SCOBY growing on the top.....pretty cool.
The garden is thriving. I need to find some sort of net or something to attach the tomato plants to on the back side so that they grow up rather than OUT and DOWN.
Here's the progress by comparisons:

The whole enchilada:
I just read that Mayor "Sue everyone for nothing" Bloomberg is on Mccain's short list for Vice President... If that's true...and if he gets the nod there is NO WAY IN HELL I am voting for Mccain. I'll vote for Obama before I'd vote for Mccain/Bloomberg, and I think Obama is a worthless skidmark. Mccain MUST realize that Bloomberg will lose him the gun vote for sure. That's a LOT of people.
Here's what "The Smallest Minority" thinks about it.... Click here

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their consciences.” —C.S. Lewis

Fawning praise: “I cried all night. I’m going to be crying for the next four years. What Barack Obama has accomplished is the single most extraordinary event that has occurred in the 232 years of the nation’s political history... The event itself is so extraordinary that another chapter could be added to the Bible to chronicle its significance.” —Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.
Marxism 101: “We all want an economy that... that lifts all of our people and ensures that our prosperity is broadly distributed and shared.” —still only junior senator from New York Hillary Clinton
“Obama isn’t going to change anything. Obama’s just going to do what liberals have done for eons: eliminate as much freedom and liberty as possible.” —Rush Limbaugh
“[Obama is] desperately trying to cover up what seems to be the kind of old school Marxist radical liberal failed ideology.” —Mike Gallagher

“[A] wise and frugal government…shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.”
Spike Lee can kiss my ass. Here's a guy that can't take any criticism about anything. If you criticize him, you're a racist. If your race has ever not been absolutely perfect throughout history (and whose has?) you're a racist. I'm sure there's no end to what you can do to be a racist in his eyes. He's ALWAYS making things into racial issues. He's the one that wants to only employ black film crews. He's a racist, plain and simple. I once heard a guy say, "I can't be racist, I'm black" as if one's skin color precluded them from any mind set. But I am pretty sure Spike Lee feels the same way.
Anyway, Spike Lee decided to say that Clint Eastwood was racist because he didn't put any black guys in his WWII movies.... He said:“If he wishes, I could assemble African-American men who fought at Iwo Jima and I’d like him to tell these guys that what they did was insignificant and they did not exist,” he said. “I’m not making this up. I know history. I’m a student of history. And I know the history of Hollywood and its omission of the one million African-American men and women who contributed to World War II.”
But...the brilliant thing, in a poetic justice type of way, is that CW fired back with " “Does he know anything about American history?” Eastwood told Focus when asked about Lee’s criticism. “The U.S. military was segregated til the Korean War, and the blacks in World War Two were totally segregated. The only black battalion on Iwo Jima was a small munitions supply unit that came to the beach.
“The story was about the men who raised the flag and we can’t make them black if they were not there. So tell him: Why don’t you go back and study your history and stop mouthing off!”
Did he really think Dirty Harry wasn't gonna know his shit before he made a movie about it???
Here's a great breakdown of the "conversation" between Clint Eastwood and Spike Lee - Click here....
Bottom line is we all have the ability to be racists...but why? What's the point? Can't we all just get along? (Thanks Rodney!) This name calling is just typical of the left. Just like the anti-gunners calling everyone gun "nuts". He can't use any logic to make his statements or rebuttals so he resorts to name calling...
I googled, "Is Spike Lee Racist?" and I got about 302,000 hits.
Here's the link.....Click Here
He says, "you can't just drive your suvs and eat whatever you want." Oh? WHy not? Is it up to you or to the government to tell me what I can do, drive, or eat??? If you vote for and elect Obama this is what you'll get....and MUCH MUCH MORE...for one low low price of TRILLIONS IN .GOV SPENDING....

Alan Gura is the lead attorney in District of Columbia v. Heller, the first major U.S. Supreme Court Case about gun rights to be considered since the late 1930s. In the mid-1970s, the District of Columbia passed draconian gun-control legislation that effectively made it impossible for residents to legally own guns. Representing seven plaintiffs who want to own guns for self-protection and other reasons, Gura and his associates have challenged the constitutionality of D.C.'s gun laws.
The arguments were presented earlier this spring and the Court's decision can be announced any moment. At the center of the case is whether the judiciary will recognize that the Second Amendment grants an individual right to own guns, a point conceded by virtually all historians and legal experts.
Gura recently sat down with reason.tv's Nick Gillespie to explain the high stakes of one of the most important and highly anticipated court cases in recent memory.
This nine-minute interview was shot and edited by reason.tv's Dan Hayes.
Protect Children, Not Guns documents the high toll of gun violence on our society:
The number of children and teens killed by guns in 2005 would fill 120 public school classrooms of 25 students each;
- The number of children and teens killed by guns in 2005 would fill 120 public school classrooms of 25 students each;
- A Black male has a 1 in 72 chance of being killed by a firearm by his 30th birthday while a While male has a 1 in 344 chance;
- California led with 474 gun deaths among children and teens in 2005; Texas, was second with 264, followed by Florida with 148, Pennsylvania with 138 and Illinois with 130.
- Since 1979, firearms killed 104,419 children and teens.
Then let their parents protect them with a great equalizer - a gun.
A Black male has a 1 in 72 chance of being killed by a firearm by his 30th birthday while a While male has a 1 in 344 chance;
But....there's a good chance that a LARGE percentage of those men have chosen to be gangsters and drug dealers and that's why their in harms way. They've CHOSEN that lifestyle. Not ALL but a LOT, I'm sure.
California led with 474 gun deaths among children and teens in 2005; Texas, was second with 264, followed by Florida with 148, Pennsylvania with 138 and Illinois with 130.
So, three states with that have cities in them that have the most lax penalties for crime and two states with the largest populations are the ones they chose to get their stats? Talk about using the stats in your favor.
Since 1979, firearms killed 104,419 children and teens.
What percentage of the total population in that age range over that time span is that?? like .001, maybe less? Now figure out how many children were killed in that time frame in car accidents, swimming pools, prescription drug overdoses, and electrocution.
Please, call Ed Shelleby at 202.662.3602 to ask him why they skew the truth to their ends? What will it solve??? If you disarm ALL of the law abiding.....what do you have? A nation run by thugs and their criminal counterparts. You decide which portion is the government.
