Obama's accomplishments...

Change Through Useless Legislation

This is a list of all of the wonderful legislation that Obamalama has proposed. Please note that the ones with ATS to the side are the ones that actually gained approval from the Senate. Also note that the majority, are IS which means they have not been approved by committee yet. If you take a look at the ones with ATS, I don't know about you, but I feel so much better about the security of our country and the effectiveness of our government. I know our country is a much better place now that the congress has decided to congratulate the Chicago White Sox on winning the 2005 World Series Championship. The following is a list of all the really important legislation that Obama has sponsored that has been approved:

1. To congratulate the Chicago White Sox on winning the 2005 World Series Championship.
2. Recognizing the historical significance of Juneteenth Independence Day and expressing the sense of the Senate that history should be regarded as a means for understanding the past and..
3. Designating July 13, 2006, as `National Summer Learning Day'.
4. Whereas Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson was born in 1939 to Bishop W.A. and Mrs. Mary Patterson, Sr., in Humboldt, Tennessee;
5. Designating July 12, 2007, as `National Summer Learning Day'. ( I guess he changed his mind about what day should be National Summer Learning Day, it's a good thing he moved it.)

Barack Obama spent 3 years as a community organizer and growing the organization from a staff of 1 to 13 and its budget from $70,000 to $400,000. He then became the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, created a voter registration drive that registered 150,000 new African Amerian voters, spent 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, and then spend nearly 8 more years as a state Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, becoming chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee, then was elected to the United States Senate representing a state of nearly 13 million people, sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees.

Your candidate graduated 894 out of a class of 899 and crashed three airplanes before heading to war, coming home and divorcing the wife who waited for him to marry a rich blond.

Classy.

First, anonymous, my candidate was Ron Paul.

Second of all, So, you can cut and paste some wikipedia page? You do realize that wikipedia isn't fact checked, right?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_life_and_career_of_Barack_Obama

YOUR candidate is a communist who is bosom buddies with a terrorist or three. That should matter.

I will ALWAYS side with the group that trusts me to be armed. Always. Even if it means holding my nose and voting for an authoritarian prick like John fucking McCain. Especially when the Democrats nominate a man who wants to ban all semi-automatic weapons, limit purchases to one a month, renew and strengthen the Assault Weapons Ban, etc. Barack Obama is the most strident supporter of gun control the Democrats have ever nominated.

I will ALWAYS contend there is NO reason a citizen would need to buy more than one gun a month—or a gun at all, for that matter. Who the hell are you protecting yourself from anyway? Communists?

Wake up! It's 2008!

DJK said...

Do you have a fire extinguisher? Well wake up, it's 2008! we have fire departments for fires!! What the hell do you need that fire extinguisher for?

God forbid you be able to be prepared for someone kicking in your door and wanting to harm your family.

Go tell these people that they didn't need guns:

Or for when looters come after a storm and rob, rape, and pillage the homes in the area.

"Or for when looters come after a storm and rob, rape, and pillage the homes in the area."

Sure, because I'm sure this happens to you ALL THE TIME!

Every time you buy a gun, a company manufactures another one to take its place behind a glass case at Wal-Mart. If 3,006 children and teens were killed by firearms in 2005, and your consistent firearms purchases beget further introduction of guns into the marketplace, how many children will die in 2009?

@Anon

Why don't you answer the Fire extinguisher question.

It DOES happen all the time, it's called HOME INVASION and it happens many times every day. People are savagely raped, robbed and murdered but you don't think they should be able to protect themselves.

Also, remember Katrina? That's just ONE. Remember the LA Riots? The list goes ON AND ON.

You man not think humans are worthy of self defense (which speaks volumes) but I do.

Children are killed by bad guys....or stupid people. Guns don't kill by themselves. Also, the statistics lump in all the gangsters that are killed that are under the age of 21 as children.

So, to save MY children, I own guns. I do it for the children.

DJK said...

What's more is that my buying a gun has no impact on those statistics...because I don't kill people.

You're not really this ignorant, are you?

Anonymous said...

Guns don't kill people. People with guns kill people. Let's hope no one who isn't as careful as you ever finds one of your guns and has a tragic accident.

Why are you calling me ignorant? Because I date to raise a question on your blog? What is the purpose of a blog if not to start a dialogue and interact with others?

If you want to raise your ideas and not be contested, why not raise them in your home and not in a public forum?

And no, I don't have a fire extinguisher.

DJK said...

I ask if you're ignorant because it seems to me you just told me that when I buy a gun another one is made and that somehow means people are getting killed.

Unless you have every single gun you've ever bought still in your possession, and thus you know for a fact that they have never fallen into the wrong hands, that is what I am saying.

Since my guns stay locked up or unchambered (the one in the nightstand) it'd be impossible to have an "accident". WHen people with kids come over, the night stand gun goes into an undisclosed spot (that children can not get to) where I can still get to it if someone decides to kick the door in.

Once I've sold any weapon to a law abiding citizen, it's not my responsibility. I would hope that that person would be as safe as I am but if they're not, it's not my fault. If they sell it to someone and then it's stolen, and then sold and then used in a crime, I fail to see how that's my fault.

At that point, it's not mine anymore, how could I control it?

Same idea with a car. If I sell a car and the guy goes and pulls an "angel of death" and rams a bunch of people...I had nothing to do with it...he would have done that with any car.

DJK said...

"If 3,006 children and teens were killed by firearms in 2005,..."

How many kids died of car accidents that year? Fire? Drowning? child abuse? Bad food? drugs? prescription drugs?

Let's compare those numbers to the deaths that involve firearms.

We can't forget to subtract all the ones where a cop killed a 19 year old gangster or someone shot one of those "bad guys" that I speak of in self defense. They put those into your 3,006 too. oh yeah, and the suicides, we need to subtract those...which are I think 59% of them. Let me know...

Gunless Chicago has more gun deaths than the war in Iraq!

I read your comments on Dooce. Just came here to say THANK YOU for speaking up for the silent majority of us who are terrified of obama (and insane liberals who want to take all of my money)

DJK said...

You're welcome. It's amazing to me that people are willing to "pay for salvation" by giving their money to the government.

DJK said...

@Anon

I'm not familiar with Australian politics....do you have the same sort of two party system? Do you have the same type of struggle between "conservatives" and "liberals"?

DJK said...

Here's a story of the people fighting their government....and I'd say their doing quite well.
